Removing and installing fuel tank

Suck the fuel out of the fuel tank,

refer to 16 00 005

Caution!

After the installation of the fuel tank / Prior to the first engine
start-up:

Check the electrical resistance between the ground lug (tank
filling pipe) and the wheel hub.

Measured value: approx. 0.6 

Ω

Disconnect the fuel pipe with special tool 13 3 010 and open the
hose clamp.

Remove the connectors of the sensor for the fuel level gauge on
the right.

Remove the connection from the sensor for the fuel level gauge
on the left.

This procedure is described in Removing the sensor for the fuel
level gauge (left),
