7 Series E38 L7 (M73) SAL
Remove retaining plate (1) with a screwdriver.
Remove cable (2).
Unfasten nut.
Remove shift lever.
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 51 1AZ
Remove radial seal with special tool 24 5 260.
Installation:
Fit special tool 24 5 490 to manual shift valve shaft.
Coat sealing lip of new radial seal (1) with transmission oil.
Slide radial seal onto the manual shift valve shaft.
