Reference edge = edge of hinge over locating bore or locating
taper on door

E = 415 mm

F = 500 mm

Note:

Gluing of sheet metal shells on B-column only avoided in area
E/F.

Reference edge = receiving edge for chrome strip

C = 140 mm

D = 230 mm

Note:

The adhesive for the sheet metal shells of the B-column is
only reserved for area C/D.

Caution!

Protect ITS head airbag so that it cannot be damaged during
welding or grinding work.

Due to

welding chips

- 

grinding chips

- 

excess heating over 70

the functional capability of the ITS head airbag can be impaired. In
extreme cases, it will not be able to function at all!

Separate separating points C and D of the B-column outward.

Caution!

Only separate the outer sheet metal of the B-column.

Drill off spot welding.

Remove the sheet metal cutout.
