Replacing control unit (DDE) M57TU, M57T2
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DDE control unit; if necessary, work
through test schedules
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove right fresh air duct
•
Remove control unit cover
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection)!
Replacement:
Carry out coding/programming.
Observe following IDC specifications:
•
Programming
•
Coding
•
If necessary, car & key memory
•
CD "CIP"
Release retaining clips (1).
Raise control unit (2), unlock and disconnect both plugs.
