Removing and installing / replacing EDC
control unit
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).
Comply with notes and instructions on handling fiber-optic
cables.
After installation:
•
Carry out programming/coding
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove glovebox
•
Remove fuse box from instrument panel carrier
Disconnect both plug connections (1).
If necessary, disconnect plug connections of other control units
and tie up wiring assemblies.
Remove main wiring harness from A-pillar and pull a little towards
rear.
Unclip EDC control unit (2) and remove towards rear.
