Build date from 03/2005:

Lever rear compartment fresh-air grille (1) with special tool 
00 9 341  out of centre armrest wooden trim (2) and pull out.

Note:

For purposes of clarity, graphic shows rear compartment fresh-air
grille (1) removed.

Retaining clips (2) must be pressed in to facilitate removal of rear
compartment fresh-air grille (1).
