Checking/topping up oil level in rear
differential (BMW Alpina B7)

Important!

Risk of damage

To avoid serious damage to the rear differential, it is essential
to use only approved transmission oils in the differential
(without lock).

Open check plug (1).

Check oil level.

If necessary, open oil filler plug (2) and pour in differential oil up
to lower edge of opening for check plug (1).

Installation:

Replace oil filler plug.

Tightening torque = 60 Nm (oil filler plug).

Replace sealing ring on check plug.

Tightening torque = 25 Nm (check plug).
