Removing and installing engine (M67)
Instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery,
refer to General Information MG 12.
Disconnect negative battery lead.
Remove underbody panelling.
Warning!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform these tasks on an engine that has cooled down.
Caution!
If the charge air hoses are not fitted dry and without grease,
this will result in supercharger failure.
Fit charge air hoses dry and without grease.
The fuel system must be vented after work is completed between
the tank and H.P. pump.
If the feed line to the high-pressure pump is not vented after work
has been completed, this may result in the pump running dry and
being damaged.
To vent high-pressure pump:
1.
Detach feed line on H.P. pump.
2.
Switch on ignition.
3.
Wait for bubble-free fuel to emerge.
4.
Switch off ignition.
5.
Fit feed line with a new clamp.
