7 Series E65 740d (M67) SAL
Evenly tighten down screws of camshaft bearing caps in 1/2 turn
steps from inside to outside.
Rotate camshafts (1) so that markings point upwards.
Note:
For camshafts which have no markings, the cams must be
positioned as in the following layout.
Layout of camshafts,
refer to 11 31 ...
Crank engine at vibration damper with special tool 11 6 480 in
direction of rotation to shortly before TDC.
Continue to crank engine slowly.
Insert special tool 11 2 300 into alignment bore (1) in flywheel.
