7 Series E65 740d (M67) SAL
Note:
The engine is correctly set when markings face upwards at
camshafts (1).
For camshafts which have no markings, the cams must be
positioned as in the following layout.

refer to 11 31 ...
Caution!
If the engine is not correctly aligned, rotate the crankshaft through
360
°
in the direction of rotation and realign.
Attach special tool 11 8 121 to inlet camshaft.
Attach special tool 11 8 122 to exhaust camshaft.
Insert screw (1) and tighten down.
Caution!
Special tool 11 8 121/122 must rest flush on cylinder head.
Remove hose (1).
