Removing and installing/replacing all
injectors in fuel injection system (M67)
Special tools required:
•
13 5 230
•
13 5 250
•
13 5 420
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memories of DDE control units
•
Switch off ignition
•
Arrangement of Common Rail System (M67)
•
Remove and install all leakage oil lines
Note:
The following illustrations show the injectors being removed
from the left cylinder bank (cylinders 5 to 8).
The same procedure applies to removing the injectors from
the right cylinder bank (cylinders 1 to 4).
Release union nuts of pressure lines (3) with special
tool 13 5 020 on injector and pressure accumulator.
Note:
It is absolutely essential here to grip the tube connector of the
injector!
Tightening torque 13 53 8AZ
Disconnect pressure lines (3).
