7 Series E65 740d (M67) SAL
Important!
If the charge air hoses are not fitted without grease and dry,
this will result in supercharger failure.
Fit charge air hoses dry and without grease.
After detaching the pressure lines, it is absolutely essential to seal
the H.P. pump with protective caps.
Arrangement of Common Rail System (M67)
Remove plug (1).
Using special tool 11 6 480 , crank engine at vibration damper to
TDC.
Secure engine with special tool 11 5 180 at TDC.
M67 only: Unlock and detach coolant hose (1) from alternator.
Unlock and detach plug (2) of check valve from high-pressure
pump.
Release union nut (3).
Tightening torque 13 53 8AZ.
Release banjo bolt (4).
Release clamp (5) underneath high-pressure pump (6).
Release screws and remove high-pressure pump (6).
RA Removing and installing / replacing high-pressure pump (M67, M67TU)
