Adjusting left or right front door
Note:
Gap dimensions E65/E66 serve as basis for adjustment work.
The screwed body parts are adjusted from the rear to the front.
Moving the hinges later on makes unpainted surfaces visible.
Touch these up in the appropriate color.
The illustrations serve as a general guide and are to be applied to
the relevant vehicle type.
Caution!
Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitted if the
existing adjustment options are not sufficient.
More extensive straightening work may result in damage to
the door outer surface or cause wind noises.
Slacken screws (1) and nuts (2) at door hinges to be adjusted at top and bottom.
Adjust door to fit according to specified gap dimension.
