Removing and installing/replacing rear centre
trim (up to 03/2005)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
If necessary, remove number/license plate
•
Remove trim for rear lid at bottom
•
Remove rear light from centre of rear lid
Note:
Detaching rear centre trim is shown on the left side; proceed in
same way for detaching on the right side.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unscrew nuts (2).
Tightening torque 51 13 6AZ
.
Lever out catches (1)
Remove complete rear centre trim (2) in direction of arrow.
Installation:
Make sure two-part seal (1) is correctly seated.
If necessary, replace faulty clips (2).
Replacement only:
Remove both rear lights.
If necessary, remove two-part seal.
