M57TU2 and M67TU diesel engines
E65, E66
Introduction
In the E65 series, the M57TU2 6-cylinder diesel engine and the M67TU 8-cylinder diesel engine will be used from
04/2005.
The diesel engines have been adapted as part of the model revision for the E65 series.
In addition to greater engine power and torque, the following technical characteristics can be highlighted:

The weight is lighter because the crank case is made of aluminium

Third generation common rail system with piezo injector and rail pressure at 1600 bar

Electronic oil level check with gauge on the control unit display.

Fully compliant with EURO 4 exhaust emission regulations and equipped with a diesel particulate filter as
standard.

Optimised electrical charge-air pressure actuator for exhaust turbocharger with variable turbine geometry.
