7 Series E65 745d (M67TU) SAL
Important!
The glow plugs protrude at the sealing face of the cylinder
head and can be damaged when set down.
Remove all glow plugs.
Remove cylinder head.
Release screws (2 and 4).
Remove EGR cooler (1) in direction of arrow.
Remove coolant pipes (3).
Installation:
Replace gaskets and O-rings.
Release three bolts on cylinder head at front.
Release cylinder head bolts from outside to inside in sequence 10
to 1.
Remove cylinder head gasket (1).
Clean sealing faces (2).
Installation:
- Remove engine oil and coolant from all tapped blind holes
on crankcase.
Note number of holes in cylinder head gasket (1).
Do not allow any gasket remnants to drop into the oil and
coolant ducts.
