Replacing right cylinder head gasket (M67TU)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove right cylinder head.
Without working on crankshaft drive or piston to alter piston
protrusion, use a new cylinder head gasket with same number of
holes (1).
This illustration shows a 1-hole cylinder head gasket.
Check guide sleeves (1 and 2) for damage and correct seating.
Installation:
Cylinder head gaskets for cylinders 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 are
different.
Place new cylinder head gasket in position.
Check cylinder head for deviation from flatness.
Check cylinder head for water leaks.
Assemble engine.
