Removing and installing/replacing all pistons
(M67TU)
Special tools required:

Important!
Before removing pistons, remove oil carbon residue from
cylinder wall.
Do not open all bearing caps at the same time!
Before opening conrod bearing cap, you must crank the
relevant piston to BDC.
Only microencapsulated conrod bolts may be used in the
M67TU!
All conrod bolts which have been opened must be replaced.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove engine.
•
Mount engine on assembly stand.
•
Remove left cylinder head.
•
Remove right cylinder head.
•
Removing oil pan.
•
Remove oil pump.
