Important!

Before opening conrod bearing caps, crank relevant piston to
BDC.

Release connecting rod bolts (1) with special tool  12 2 100 .

Remove conrod bearing cap.

Important!

Risk of damage to cylinder wall.

Attach/screw in special tool  11 5 480  on conrod.

Observe procedure for all cylinders.

Note:

Figure shows crankshaft removed.

Carefully slide conrod and piston with special tool  11 5 480  out
of cylinder.

Important!

Risk of damage to cylinder wall.

Remove conrod with piston (1) from cylinder head end.
