Special tools required:
•

•
11 6 480
•
11 8 120
•
11 8 121
•
11 8 122
Important!
Fuel system must be vented after work between tank and H.P.
pump.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Disconnect battery negative terminal.
•
Remove reinforcement plate.
•
Disconnect charge air hoses.
•
Remove left cylinder head cover.
•
Remove H.P. pump.
•
Remove left throttle valve.
Remove plug (1) from transmission housing.
Note:
Illustrations show E38.
