Removing and installing/replacing charger
(BMW ALPINA B7 radial compressor)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

•

Remove clean air pipe

•

Remove radial compressor drive belt

Important!

When working on radial compressor:

- 

Engine must be cooled down

- 

Switch off ignition

- 

Do not switch on ignition when charge-air pressure
actuator is disconnected (engine limp-home program)

- 

Do not under any circumstances start engine

After completing work:

- 

Check engine oil level

- 

Clear fault memory

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock and detach quick-connect couplings (2).

Unclip cable from holder (3).

Release hose clamps (4) and remove charge air hose.

Installation:

Tightening torque: 5 Nm.

Charge air hose must be installed dry and free from grease!
