7 Series E66 730Li (M54) SAL
Release parking brake to just before end stop with emergency
release tool (1) from on-board tool kit.
Raise end stop (1) with screwdriver.
Continue releasing parking brake with emergency release tool
until assembly position is reached (cable pulleys rest on outer
housing walls (2)).
Unfasten gasket (1) and pull out of housing a little.
Press on tabs (2) with screwdriver in order to unlock Bowden
cables.
Pull Bowden cable mountings out of parking brake housing a little.
Unhook Bowden cables from cable pulleys (3).
Remove Bowden cables from below.
Installation:
Tabs of seal (1) must engage in parking brake mounting tray.
End sleeves of Bowden cables must engage in parking brake
housing.
RA Removing and installing or replacing both Bowden cables for parking brake
