Replacing rear left side panel (partial
replacement, longitudinal member cover
before B-pillar)
Read contents of Body, General.
Spot-weld bonding is used for the first time on the E65. A
specific procedure must be followed here.
Following new body parts are required (refer to EPC):
-
(1) Side panel, rear
-
(2) Attachment, entrance, outer
Mark severance cut (1) on outer entrance attachment (2) in
accordance with measurement a and cut.
Measurement a = approx. 50 mm in front of hole dia. 30 mm.
Open weld joints on outer entrance attachment (2) and remove
component.
Installation:
On severance cuts (1), weld in reinforcing plate approx. 30 mm
long.
