Replacing wiring harness on function carrier
on left or right front door
Overview of function carrier components:

Control unit, front door (door module)
2.
Light module (build date up to 09/2004)
3.
Sensor, front door
4.
Bowden cable
5.
Speaker
6.
Wiring harness, function carrier
7.
Quick-release coupling grey 1.8 mm
Quick-release coupling white 0.8 mm
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove function carrier in front door
•
Remove control unit in front door
•
Disconnect sensor plug connection for front door
•
Remove speaker
Build date up to 09/2004:
•
Disconnect light module plug connection
Important!
Follow instructions for handling fibre optic cables.
Risk of mixing up plugs for door lock and control unit!
Mark relevant plugs of wiring harness to be changed.
Ensure correct plug connections for replacement wiring
harness through comparison of plugs (wire cross-sections, pin
assignment).
