Removing and installing / replacing rear
exhaust manifold (N52)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove acoustic cover
•
Remove centre of assembly compartment bulkhead
•
Remove reinforcement plate
•
Remove control sensor from cylinders 4 to 6
•
Remove monitor sensor from cylinders 4 to 6
Release bolt and remove bracket (1).
Unscrew nuts (1).
Tightening torque 18 20 1AZ
.
Remove retaining plate (2).
Unscrew nuts (3).
Tightening torque 18 20 1AZ
.
Pull exhaust system approx. 3 cm towards rear and remove
from threaded pins.
Unscrew nuts.
Remove exhaust manifold (1).
Installation:
Clean sealing faces and replace seals.
Replace nuts.
Tightening torque 18 40 1AZ
.
