7 Series E66 745Li (N62) SAL
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Disconnect battery negative lead
•
Remove and install left luggage compartment wheel arch trim.
Disconnect plug connection (1, 2).
Release screws (3) and remove TCU (4).
Installation:
Note colour coding of antenna plugs.
Replace 54-pin plug housing* with a new one.
* Sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service
Raise lock (1) on housing (2).
Push both contact carriers (3) from rear out of housing.
Replacement with option SA633 or SA639/SA664 (build date
03/2005-09/2006):
Connect adapter leads* (1) between main wiring harness (2)
and TCU (3).
* Sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service
Resecure TCU (3).
Installation:
Secure protruding lead parts with suitable adhesive tape in order
to prevent rattling noises.
