Clean connection points on outer cowl and drill for plug welding
(1).
Make reinforcement plates (2) approx. 25 mm in length from old
part, clean and coat with weld primer.
Slide plates (2) into outer cowl up to halfway and plug-weld (1).
Make new part in accordance with cutting lines on car and drill
holes for plug welding in areas of reinforcement plates.
Clean all connection points and coat with weld primer.
Apply window adhesive to cavity bulkhead (3).
Fit new part, spot-weld and plug-weld in areas (1) and (2)
respectively.
Weld cutting lines (3).
Grind down welding spots and welding seams, clean and tin out.
