X Series E53 X5 3.0d (M57TU) OFFRD
Unfasten shear-off screws with tool, e.g. chisel.
Installation:
Tighten shear-off screws until heads shear off.
Remove lock cylinder.
Detach steering angle sensor (1) from steering spindle.
Installation:
Pin for pivot mounting (2) must engage in steering angle
sensor (1).
Lift out snap ring (1).
Remove collar ring (2) and spring (3).
Remove steering spindle and pull out steering column tube.
Installation:
Fit spring (3) and collar ring (2).
Recess in collar ring must point to snap ring (1).
Install snap ring (1) with special tool 32 3 070 .
