X Series E53 X5 3.0i (M54) OFFRD
Brace propeller shaft on center mount and loosen nuts.
Tightening torque, 26 11 6AZ .
Installation:
Center bearing must be aligned at right angles to propeller
shaft.
Important!
Do not let propeller shaft fall into joints.
Joints and rubber sleeve on constant-velocity joint can be
damaged.
Bend propeller shaft downwards on center bearing.
Remove propeller shaft from transmission output flange and tie to
one side with a cord or wire.
Support transfer case with special tools 27 1 100 and
00 2 030 .
Release transfer case screw connection on transmission.
Tightening torque, 27 00 9AZ .
Remove transfer case.
