Checking air spring struts/air springs for
damage
Note:
If a vehicle has been driven with depressurized air spring struts/air
springs, the air spring struts/air springs must be replaced.
Lift vehicle.
Air spring strut of air spring is OK:
1.
when the gaiter cannot be compressed by hand
2.
when there is no discernible visible damage
3.
when the rolling fold is uniform
Note:
If one of the above-mentioned points fails the test, then the air
spring strut or air spring must be replaced.
