Replacing left engine carrier (partial
replacement before front axle) (E53)

Instructions for body repair,

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Remove and, if necessary, replace following parts:

- 

Bumper, compl.

- 

Front grill

- 

Radiator, compl.

- 

Cover in wheel arch

- 

Both headlights, compl.

- 

Hood lock, left/right

Vehicle parts located in the repair zone or threatened by heat,
sparks or dust must be removed or covered.

Mark cutting line (1) according to measurement A and cut through
engine carrier completely.

A = approx. 25 mm

Cut new part (1) according to cut (2) and adapt with straightening
attachment (3).

Clean connection faces (4) and drill bores (5) for plug welding.
