Make reinforcement plates (1) approx. 30 mm in length for outer plates, clean and coat with weld primer.
Drill new part and body in area of reinforcement plates (1) for plug welding.
Slide reinforcement plates (1) into new part and body up to halfway.
Make sections of outer plate (1) from new part, clean and coat with weld primer.
Drill sections (1) in area of reinforcement plates for plug welding.
Fit sections (1), weld and grind joints (2) and plug-weld bores.
Spot-weld areas (3).
Clean welding spots and welding seams (2), tin out and grind down.
