Replacing tail panel (complete)

Read contents of Body, General.

Refer to the description texts of the KSD CD (FRU 41 34 041)
for details of stripping-down and rigging work.

Following new body parts are required (refer to EPC):

- 

(1) Rear trim, outer skin

- 

(2) Rear trim, inner

Open brazed joints (1) and welding spots (2).

Note:

Only drill through outer or outer and middle sheet metal at welding
spot connections.

Carry over the work step shown symmetrically to the other side of
the vehicle.

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Remove tail panel.

Installation:

Because of the joining sequence, the new parts must be fitted
individually as inner and outer parts.

Weld new components in area (2) additionally.
