Removing and installing handle strip (on
trunk lid)

Difference between versions before and after 09/01:

A

Version before 09/01

1

Wide seal over entire handle strip

2

Open microswitch

3

Plug connection

B

Version after 09/01

4

Narrow seal only at top over entire handle strip

5

Plug connection

6

Small seal around plug connection (5)

Installation:

In version (B), closed expansion nuts and shorter
screws (3.5 x 13 mm) must be used.

Release screws (1) and withdraw handle strip (2) somewhat.

Disconnect plug connection (1) and remove handle strip (2).

Installation:

Seal(s) of handle strip (2) must not be damaged.

Tightening torque, 51 13 4AZ

Perform function check with trunk lid open.
