X Series E53 X5 4.6is (M62) OFFRD
Place oil drip tray under engine.
Unfasten banjo bolt (1) (inlet) and remove oil line.
Tightening torque 24 31 4AZ.
Installation:
Replace sealing rings.
Release and detach union screw (2) on oil return line.
Tightening torque, 24 31 4AZ.
Move both oil lines to the left side.
Caution!
Special tool 24 5 301 is provided with an additional bore in
accordance with drawing.
In order to convert special tool 24 5 301 into a stable
assembly position: this bore is essential.
Assemble special tools 00 2 030 / 24 5 301 / 24 0 250 . To
do so, insert pivot pin into rear bore of special tool 24 5 301 .
Caution!
Adjust special tool as described above.
Only in this way is it ensured that the transmission unit rests
safely on the special tool 24 0 250 and does not tilt.
