Pry out retaining plate (1) with a screwdriver and pull out cable (2).

Slacken nut (1).

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 24 51 1AZ.

Remove shift lever (2).

Screw special tool 24 5 260 into radial seal. Pull out radial seal
by tightening extractor sleeve.

Fit special tool 24 5 490 to the manual shift valve shaft.

Slide radial seal (1) onto manual shift valve shaft.

Note:

Coat sealing lip of new radial seal (1) with transmission fluid.
