X Series E53 X5 4.6is (M62) OFFRD
Press output shaft with special tool 31 5 110 out of front
differential/bearing block and remove.
Installation:
Insert output shaft into front differential/bearing block.
If necessary, cut open protective sleeve and remove.
Coat sealing lips of shaft seal with approved gear oil.
Push output shaft over resistance of snap ring. Output shaft must
snap audibly into place.
Before installation:

Replace shaft seal in front differential/bearing block

Replace snap ring on output shaft
After installation:

Check front differential oil level, correct if necessary
