Removing and installing / replacing auxiliary
water pump
Follow instructions for working on cooling system.
M54 only:
Remove intake filter housing.
M62 only:
Detach expansion tank, supply tank for power steering pump and
main flow oil filter housing (disconnect plug connection at level
switch) in each case unopened from equipment carrier.
Release screws (1) and remove equipment carrier (2).
All:
Warning!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
