X Series E70 X5 3.0Si (N52K) OFFRD
Carefully lower power steering gear.
Mark installation positions of pressure and return lines to power
steering gear.
Release banjo bolts (1).
Disconnect pressure line (2) and return line (3) from power
steering gear.
Installation:
Replace all sealing rings.
Align pressure and return lines by way of markings and tighten
down banjo bolts.
Tightening torque 32 41 5AZ
(pressure line).
Tightening torque 32 41 6AZ
(return line).
Remove power steering gear with wiring harness sideways
between engine and front axle carriers.
Replacement:
If necessary, release screws (1) and remove heat shield (2).
Disconnect plug connections (3) and remove connecting
cable (4).
Installation:
Tightening torque 32 00 2AZ
.
After installation:
•
Fill and bleed hydraulic system
•
Check pipe connections for leaks
•
Perform chassis alignment check
•
adjustment for active steering
•
If necessary, carry out initial Dynamic Drive operation
