Removing and installing/replacing
flywheel/automatic (M57TU)

Special tools required:

11 9 260

11 9 265

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative terminal.

Remove and install underbody protection.

Remove and install reinforcing plate.

Remove and install complete exhaust system.

Remove and install transmission.

If necessary, remove clutch.

Note:

Automatic only:

Block flywheel with special tools 11 9 260  / 11 9 265  and with
a transmission bolt (1).

Unfasten flywheel screws.

Installation:

Flywheel is secured with a dowel pin.

Fit new flywheel screws.

Clean crankshaft thread for flywheel screws.

Tightening torque 11 22 1AZ
