Removing and installing/sealing or replacing
transmission fluid sump (A5S 360R / 390R)
Important!
After completion of work, check transmission fluid level.
Use only the approved transmission fluid.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious
damage to the automatic transmission!
Remove oil drain plug (1).
Tightening torque 24 11 6AZ .
Drain automatic transmission fluid.
Unscrew all bolts.
Remove transmission sump (2).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring on oil drain plug.
Clean sealing faces of transmission fluid sump.
Fit new gasket on transmission fluid sump.
Clean magnet (1) and insert in fluid sump again.
Mount transmission fluid sump.
Insert all screws until contact is made with screw head in each
case.
Important!
Tighten down screws, not in diagonal sequence but rather in
order, 1x to specified torque.
