Replacing front left or right engine carrier
(part replacement before front axle)

Follow instructions for machining aluminum components.

Remove and/or loosen following components:

- 

Front bumper

- 

Front wall

- 

Front axle support 

- 

Engine and transmission

Vehicle components which are located in the repair area or are
exposed to heat or dust must be removed or covered.

Place vehicle on straightening bench.

Mark out cutting line (1) according to measurement A and cut.

Measurement A = approx. 186 mm front spring support at front.

Remove old part, engine carrier.

Adjust new part, engine carrier, to fit with straightening attachment
(3) without gaps.

Drill holes in center of upper (1) and lower (2) cutting edge.

Hole diameter 10 mm.

Remove paint in upper and lower profile chambers on body and
new part. Measured from cutting edge, min. 50 mm deep into
each profile chamber.
