Clean all bearing positions and lubricate with engine oil.
Important!
Intermediate levers (1) are divided into individual tolerance
classes.
Only intermediate levers of the same tolerance class may be
fitted in a single engine.
The tolerance classes are designated as illustrated with the
numbers from 1 to 6.
Used intermediate levers (1) may only be reused in the same
position.
Insert all intermediate levers (1).
Important!
Before installing the torsion springs, it is essential to secure
the intermediate levers against slipping out.
Attach special tool 11 9 310 in opening to intermediate lever
and to oil spray line.
Note:
Installation of torsion spring is described on 4th cylinder.
The same procedure is applicable to cylinders 1 to 3.
Place special tool 11 9 390 on bearing bracket.
Note:
Do not tighten down nut (1), install without play only.
Secure special tool 11 9 390 with nut (1).
