Vacuum hose from brake booster deformed
E85 / M54
Situation:
Complaints have been received from service and from customers about the vacuum hose
between the intake manifold and the brake booster becoming deformed.
Even a deformed vacuum hose still has sufficient reserves for the brakes to function
correctly. In no instance is the braking effect jeopardised by the deformation.
Affected vehicles:
E85 with engine M54 / B22, B25 and B30
Manufacturing period: start of series production until end of series production
Procedure:
In case of customer complaint, do not replace the vacuum hose!
