Replacing tank vent valve (M54)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Check stored fault messages
•
Switch off ignition
•
E83 only: Remove intake filter housing
Installation location:
Tank vent valve is fitted at front on intake air manifold.
Unlock and detach plug connection (1).
Unlock and detach vent hose (2).
Remove hose (3).
Note:
Read out fault memory of DME control unit.
Rectify faults.
Now clear the fault memory.
