Removing and installing/replacing
reinforcement plate on rear axle
Special tools required:
•
00 9 120
Important!
Vehicles must not be driven without reinforcement plates.
Driving without the reinforcement plate may damage the
vehicle body.
Screws of reinforcement plate must be tightened to torque
and then tightened down with special tool 00 9 120 .
Release clip.
Release screws (1) and remove heat shield (2).
Unscrew nuts (3).
Release screws (2 and 4) and remove reinforcement plate (1).
Installation:
Replace screws (2 and 4).

Insert screws.

Tighten down screws (2) to specified torque and then to
angle of rotation.
Tightening torque 51 71 5AZ

Tighten down screws (4) and nuts (3).
