Removing and installing/replacing pressure
sensor "V" for DSC
Note:
Read and comply with General Information.
Important!
The pressure sensor is omitted from cars after model year
01/06.
After replacing the pressure sensor, carry out an adjustment
with DIS (Diagnosis and Information System) under menu
item "Service functions".
After completing work: Bleed braking system
Press clutch pedal down to floor and secure with pedal support.
Note:
The pedal support may only be released when the brake lines are
reconnected.
This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank
and air from entering the system when the brake lines are opened.
Disconnect brake pipe from connection with brake hose.
Release and remove pipe (1) from hydraulic unit (2) and from
brake master cylinder (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque 34 32 1AZ
.
Unfasten plug connection (1).
Detach pressure sensor (2) from brake master cylinder.
Installation:
Tightening torque 34 51 2AZ
.
