Replacing left engine carrier (partial
replacement before front axle)
Read contents of Body, General.
For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD
CD (FR number 41 11 028).
Place vehicle on straightening bench.
Following new body parts are required (refer to EPC):
-
Partial section, engine carrier
-
Stabilizer holder
Open weld joints in area (1).
Remove stabilizer holder (2).
Mark severance cut (3) in accordance with measurement a and
cut engine carrier completely.
Measurement a = approx. 45 mm from edge of wheel arch liner.
Installation:
Weld in reinforcement plate.
Adjust new stabilizer holder part (2) to fit with straightening
attachment or universal mount and weld.
