Removing and installing/replacing shift
paddles for SMG transmission
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Disconnect battery negative lead
•
Remove airbag unit
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unfasten screws (2).
Note:
Both shift paddles (3) are connected to each other by cable
loom (4).
Remove both shift paddles (3) towards front.
Installation:
Make sure shift paddles (3) are correctly seated.
Version with multifunction steering wheel:
•
Remove multifunction steering wheel switch
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Feed cable loom (2) out of steering wheel cover (3) and
remove both shift paddles.
Installation:
Make sure cable loom (2) is correctly laid under steering
wheel cover (3).
