Replacing wiring harness section for ignition
coil (N52)
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Follow instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery
Disconnect battery negative lead from battery and lay to one
side
•
Remove acoustic cover
Unfasten screws.
Open electronics box cover (1).
Release relay plug on reverse side of cover.
Remove cover.
Installation:
Make sure that cover is correctly inserted in hinges of electronics
box lower section (watertightness).
Unlock plugs (1) and disconnect. Lay cables to one side.
Unfasten grommets (2) on housing and lay wiring harnesses to
one side.
Installation:
Make sure that grommets are correctly seated in housing
(watertightness).
